New Black is on something more dangerous than trucker speed.
"No genre jail can hold New Black. Walls quake at the sound of the jackhammer title track and the demolishing distortion of the album intro "Mere Cats," while the cutting guitars of the rolling boil "Khalil!" could saw through iron bars. This album is tense and relentless, and surprisingly well contoured, as evidenced by the curve-hugging burner "Nothing Scares Us" and the fun, flipped-out dance blitz "Big Haus." But nothing compares to the cat-and-mouse menace of "Devil In My Car," with its unsettling male/female vocal interplay and bleak Joy Division-like machinery. Though its hard to tell from the obscure lyrics, "Devil In My Car" sounds like a cautionary tale of a driver who picks up a hitchhiker and lives or maybe, dies to regret it. I guess when it comes to lyrics, psychological thrillers are the New Black. " - Check the full review from Lost at Sea

NB gets a Grammy!
Not quite, but Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune loves New Black citing "Devil in my car" as one of "Twenty great songs from 2005 that the Grammys missed". Check it out here. Happy V-Day.

Best of 2005, Happy Holidays
Check it - Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune names Time Attack #2 of his best of 2005 list.

"With spazzed-out jabs of guitar and organ, this coed art-punk quartet hurtles from one extreme to the next like a runaway bumper car. In "Devil in my Car," they put it all together, building from an eerie minimalism to a full-on house-of-horrors meltdown. Ferocious stuff."

See the rest here. Note we are NOT playing NYE at the Double Door as reported, Rachel and I will be in Tulum, enjoy the snow SUCKERS!

Happy Chrismahanukwanzikah to all.
